Did a little hood bump for clearance reasons, nothing insane.

Upon changing the PCV valve, the rubber grommet broke and a piece fell inside one of the valve covers... thus it had to be removed to fish it out...

This then sparked an idea in my mind.... Since I was taking one off, why not take them both off, clean them up and paint them.

This was also a good chance to inspect the camshafts and top end to get an idea of how many miles were on the motor, our estimation is under 30k, this coupled with other indicators of low to no wear on the motor.

Decided to test out a crappy Oil Catch can... you can probably imagine I didn't like the results, but again the car was almost never ever driven, so it just sat and waited for the day to be upgraded.

Then goof off to remove all the little pieces off and clean up the metal.

We wired in an OBD-1 Diagnostic cable into the RB25DET ECU, to utilize our Nissan ConZult, and other software diagnostic programs.
The 1989 didn't have an OBD-1 Diag port, thuis is why we wired one. |
